You're an Aussie! That's where your wonderful sense of humor comes from? Where did you grow up? I lived a few years in Brisbane when I was young and my bestie still lives there. 🇦🇺
Brisvegas!!!! I went back the year before covid to visit my bestie and man the city has changed...also having a 6 year old in tow changes the experience. No more late nights in The Valley 🍻
Since my default personality is to be focused and controlling and on-task, I add play and fun to my life by...being around my husband, or my little sister. I only recently realized that my husband does the same thing my younger sister does, which is inject spontaneous silliness into my life! That zaps me into the present moment and makes me laugh
It's oh so easy to prioritize work and getting things done above all else! My kids are def the silly zappers for me - but I don't always relax enough into their fun. I'm also craving more fun times with other grown ups! Theme parties! Roller coasters?!
Oh funny! I thought you did. LOL! I hope you like it. Here's another recommendation and it is another quirky little book - That Quail, Robert. It's a true story about a couple who rescue a baby quail and their adventures with her (they thought she was a he.)
Hi Amelia - Happy New Year! I just wanted to let you know that I am reading The Year of the Hare (per your recommendation last year) and I am loving it! What a funny, quirky, little novel. Thank you!
happy new year to you, too! I'm so glad to hear you like the novel...but I don't think I recommended it! 🤣 I will put it on my list to read, on YOUR recommendation!
Happy Aussie Day, Amelia! Miss you guys!
You too! 🇦🇺🦘
I've been watching Death and Other Details. A total joy!
The clothes! The yacht!! Mandy Patinkin! I can't wait for the next episode 😉

I'm from Brisbane!!!! Or should I say, Brisvegas 😉

ha ha - so many memories! Brissie is really coming along - a much more sophisticated city now - and hosting the Olympics in 2032!
Hard to improve.❤️❣️
what a nice thing to say!

Yes, I have the same problem! Sometimes I reject the silly zapping, if I'm not in the mood. But I'm trying to appreciate it more
I'm thinking I need to schedule some fun...

I love these small-animal-themed books!!!!! Very Beatrix Potter! Keep them coming - thank you!
Me, too! So endearing! xoxo
