I keep revisiting this edition because every tip you shared makes me feel like I'm on vacation...! *swoon*
I've never made Greek salad before, but I absolutely plan to this summer, and your tips have officially been filed away. (I never would've thought to peel the tomatoes!)
I'm so glad! So far this week, I've made Greek Salad and lemon-infused oil - planning on Tzaziki and greek meatballs tomorrow! It's perfect summer food.
OMG TAKE ME BACK. Seeing your salads and that shot of Lefkes and floating on the Aegean Sea…man, if Greece was not a ten-hour flight away I would be there every weekend. So dreamy!
And re: the shorts, while I’m no chic European, I can confirm that the mid-length, elastic waist, deep pocket linen shorts I found at Old Navy last year have been a game changer as far as comfortably living my hot tropical life and transitioning to NYC or elsewhere with a more refined “look” than the athleisurewear you mentioned. This season they have ankle length linen pants too—same waistline/pocket situation—and I got two pairs!
I too am no chic European. Which is why I stock up on linen shorts from Target. 😂 But I live in them all summer! They’re an effortless way to look a little less like I just rolled out of bed, and trust me, I need all the help I can get there.
Loved reading about your trip! Just picked up white linen shorts from Aritzia - they are perfect for summer and would definitely recommend. And thank you for the tip on infusing olive oil with lemon zest; adding that to my list of weekend projects : )
i have a pair of linen shorts from Madewell and I find myself always reaching for them. Paros looks so dreamy - greek salads, fresh fish, and tiny ice buckets, plus your adorable family = perfect!
As someone who is also terrible at souvenir shopping (and kind of hates it), this was deeply relatable. I loved all the tips in this newsletter but am most obsessed with personal ice buckets as a person who LOVES an extremely cold drink in the summer months. I'm now convinced I need this for my own home, so thanks for that!
So nice to hear you had a wonderful trip and I feel like I was THERE reading this post...I've never heard of cinnamon on fruit like watermelon or strawberries, but I'm totally gonna try...sounds like it jazzes the whole thing up a bit!
I LOVE your daughter's pink dress in the last photo! I've been looking for one like it for months! Could you share a link? xo
I love it too! I think the pink is so flattering! It's from Free People: https://www.freepeople.com/shop/shea-solid-mini/?category=mini-dresses&color=066&type=REGULAR&quantity=1
Thank you!!

Hold on, I’m coming over for dinner 😂

Same, same 😂
2025 summer “writing retreat” in Greece?! 😉
Looks like a fabulous trip! Inspired to incorporate those meatballs into my summer rotation!
Me, too! My kids both LOVED them and I like the non-tomato sauce option for meatballs.
My heart aches for Greece, always. Somehow I moved to Italy instead where there is ZERO cinnamon ANYWHERE
but plenty of good pasta, I bet!
Thanks for the recipes! We’ll be eating well tonight!
Enjoy!
All great! Really enjoyed this read.
I'm so glad - thank you for reading!
Loved this so much! Esp the tiny ice bucket idea 🧊
Everyone must have one!
Your trip looked incredible! -- European pharmacies are the best! so many luxe oils and creams to be discovered!!
They really are!

I hope you enjoy the olive oil - such an easy way to amp up flavor! I need a pair of these linen shorts that everyone else seems to already have! 😉
The olive oil is delicious! I can't think of anything it's not good on. Good luck finding the perfect pair of linen shorts! : )
yay!! that makes me so happy to hear!

Aw, thank you! Before this trip I only had a very tailored pair of linen shorts and it's time for a cool-girl upgrade! 😉

(And I'm so glad you had such a good trip.)
I'm so glad you're into the personal ice bucket concept. It now seems funny to me that it's not common in the US!
I love seeing the photos of your trip!
awww, thank you! ❤️

thank you - and the cinnamon really does jazz things up! I hope you like it - we were blown away by how simple and nice it was!
I am going to make a Greek Salad because of you, Amelia! Love the family photos ✨
Greek Salads are truly the best - it's the only thing I want to eat now!
