Love this! Every summer I make “advancement goals” -- I’ve progressed but not exactly at the pace I want! I did find a great tennis outfit website however (almost as important as the game!). It’s called L’oeuf Poche (you probably get the play on words--oeuf=egg=zero=“love” + “poach”). I have absolutely no connection, but purchased a few things after a friend recommended and they’re super cute. Recommend a look!
So much excellent tennis content here. Before we had kids my husband and I used to play a bit. I’m not super athletic therefore I surprised him with my tennis abilities!
What about Carrie Soto Is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid?! I loved that book.
love that you're a stealth tennis player! my husband and I cannot play singles against each other - way too much marital conflict! I did read Carrie Soto is back and I enjoyed it but I hesitated to recommend broadly as I know there were some sensitivity concerns about the book and some of its content.
Love this post! I’m def buying the valet tray. I’m also really in the hunt for a good tennis bag. I saw the one you posted but I want the racket handle to be more at a 75degree angle, not the sort of 30degree angle like sticking behind you- I want it to stick more up…. And I don’t want a back pack. If you see any good ones, please send!
How fun!!! This brought back a memory of being in college in 1973 and the girls dorm (there was one) and the boys dorms (there were 3) yelling at each other across the quad the night of the Billie Jean/Riggs game, such a fun and wild night of parties in those dorms!
LOVE a themed round-up! I grew up playing tennis and stopped sometime after college, but for the past few months I’ve been thinking about picking it back up again. I probably have the pickleball fervor to thank for my renewed interest? There’s just something so satisfying about that tennis ball ‘thwack!’ And opening a new can of balls is like an immediate dopamine hit, isn’t it?
I played tennis as a kid and have been thinking of getting back into it. Another rompy fiction book that features a lot of tennis is Bad Summer People by Emma Rosenbaum!
Wimbledon is such an underrated movie! I loved this week's thematic content - what a great round-up of all things tennis - there's something for everyone (including me, an indoor girlie who hasn't picked up a racket since she was a teenager).
Tennis is absolutely my game of choice, but at this phase of my life (small children), I have the hardest time finding time to play! The gear is SO GOOD though these days, and I can’t wait to upgrade in a year or so when I can get back to playing!
Oh I hear you - I stopped for a long time and restarted playing after my kids were born - it is hard to find the time but maybe you can just wear the gear in the meantime 😉😉🎾🎾
This is so fun! This past week I was literally thinking of picking up tennis again this season and even looked at some lessons near me. Maybe this is my sign?
OMG, I literally was going to write the EXACT SAME THING! Loved this post and I ALSO looked at tennis lessons near me this week...so funny. Can't wait to see the Zendaya movie. Also, Andre Agassi's book remains one of my favorite books of all time...BEAUTIFUL! 📚🎾
Ooh just read about it and it looks fantastic. Also watched the trailer for the Boris Becker doc and have added it to my list...I remember watching him when I was little!

I love tennis, but I think I'm going to finally cave and try Pickleball this summer. I love being a few years behind a trend.
I finally just tried pickleball recently - total trendsetter 🙃 and it is actually really fun!
The tennis ball in the newsletter headline! 😍
I enjoy graphics 🎾🎾

Have you checked out the Tory Burch racquet bags? This one is for sale but maybe still not quite the right angle?

wow I might be motivated to become a tennis player just to acquire this tote 🤣
🤣🤣🤣

Wow! What a memory - I am jealous and I want to hear so much more about that experience - and I'm so glad BJK won! 🎾🏆

Yes! And pickleball is fun too - have you tried it?

Maybe ease back into it by watching Red Oaks?! I read that novel last summer and totally forgot about it - good reminder!

We can all be spectators! 😉🎾

If you loved Open you will probably also like Late to the Ball - I am basically a publicist for that book! 😉

The Boris Becker doco is really good - mainly because he is so candid - and is such a character...
Yes! Do it! And read Late to the Ball for inspo 😉🎾
Ah ha! I like that theme! Who knew there were so many tennis themed movies and shows to watch.
Yes my game of choice is tennis, and guess whom my favorite partner is??? 😘😘😘😘
hello there, partner! can't wait to see Challengers - there aren't enough tennis movies in my opinion!!
