This is such a juicy question about anticipation! I'm totally with you and Nora on the "anticipating the next meal" front. 😅
As you might guess, I've had to learn to balance the joys of anticipation with my own tendencies toward overplanning. Right now, that balance looks like the little herb garden I started recently: I definitely had to plot out the right container situation, the tools I needed, and what I wanted to plant. But now that that's done, I just enjoy waking up every day, watering them, and watching them grow.
It's interesting about the over-planning - I can tend to do that when I'm entertaining (so much stressing about details that really don't matter) which really takes a lot of the joy out of it. Your garden sounds lovely!
I thought of you today at my local library book sale, where I scored a used copy of Emily Henry’s Book Lovers! I may bring it with me when I go to Barcelona and the south of France—highly anticipating what books I’ll bring on vacation is my version of planning outfits
My favorite thing to anticipate is travel planning. I love to make lists of places we'll eat, make restaurant reservations, plan itineraries, etc. For me is as fun as the travel itself.
Oooh, this post was so DELICIOUS! LOVE LOVE LOVE Nora and any words of wisdom she has! Also, Hacks is EVERYTHING. The chemistry between the two of them is *chef's kiss.* And Amy Sedaris's apartment is just the most charming thing I've ever seen.
so fun to hear your thoughts on a variety of topics!
Thank you for reading!

Travel planning is the best - I like to have a good long time to look forward to the trip so usually start my planning very early!

I love Hacks
I find it truly inspiring: it's never too late to reimagine your career, and become a better person!
A life without thinking about food, is no life at all.
You're my kind of people! 😉
