This is the best concept for a series, and such a wonderful way to kick it off! I’m always in awe of the stories CAFE ANNE brings to life… and loved getting this peek behind the scenes 💛
Not only is Anne delightful (obviously), but the photo of her laughing uproariously is *extra* delightful! I was cheering along with two bits of her wisdom in particular: the importance of not over-scheduling, and the power of buying your own freedom. Absolutely loved this interview, Amelia!
A lovely interview. I am an 80 year old living in Nottingham, England, and found Anne and Cafe Anne quite early on by chance. I also became a £4 monthly subscriber (if you read this Anne, please charge me £5 a month). She really is the best writer I know. I support her because of her free access policy supported by voluntary subscriptions. Socialism at work. She writes about people in a way few equal. In my ideal world I would publish a ‘Annual Cafe Anne Bedside Companion’ with my favourite posts in chronological order. She knows this, but it would be a lot of hassle for her to do, then there is funding it and keeping control, so I print off my own collections of posts in the form of small booklets, so I can hold in my hands and read. Then they become even more alive I promise you. If you read and don’t subscribe please do, then she can start saving for those rainy days that are sure to come. 🐰
As a native New Yorker now in Chicago, Anne is THE BEST (and most humorous) weekly dose of home. Eric Adams watch is priceless and I look forward every week to Anne’s quirky and smart and saavy take on things. Thanks for this interview, Amelia! I ❤️ NY

Haha I've never been called a socialist before aka Kevin, but I know what you mean. Thanks for your kind words and all your support!
I'm a paid sub to Cafe Anne as well - completely worth it for the Monday dose of delight and fun!

I LOVE Anne! This made me like her even more, if that is possible.
She's a NYC treasure and should be given the keys to the city / should be Mayor!
Based on Eric Adam’s productivity in comparison to Anne’s I completely agree!
LOL
Bah! Anne - you liked this! I squealed.
