Thanks for all of these! My go to brunch at home drink is a michelada with the athletic brewing cerveza. Mikkeller also makes really interesting NA beers including a rasberry that tastes more like a fun cocktail!
As a non drinker for quite a while I realised I never really liked the taste of alcohol so I don’t use the non alcoholic substitutes in any variety. I find most mocktails too rich and too many calories, I only like something light like some of the others said juice in sparkling water and I like to drink it in a wine glass. Most drinks taste better in a wine glass due to the thinner edge.
I really dislike how alcohol tastes like. When out with friends and family, I usually drank one glass of wine or a cocktail out of politeness or fear of being asked if I was pregnant, and while drinking it I usually found myself dreaming about ordering a diet coke. Dumb but true. It's been two years since I said enough! I don't miss it at all
Oh wow, good for you! It's funny - I had to "work hard" to get myself to like the taste of alcohol when I first started drinking - and I really don't miss the taste of it - for me, it's the rituals involved with drinking and the sense of relaxation you can get from one drink that I miss most.
This is *so* helpful. I'm not a big drinker, though I'll enjoy a glass of something when I'm out at a restaurant. But at home, I rarely keep alcohol around, so I'm always on the lookout for fun alternatives. I've been a huge Athletic Brewing fan for years, so +1 on that rec, but I haven't ventured into the NA wine space yet...I'm definitely going to order some of these Leitz options!
I just ordered a wine sampler from Zero Proof (including the Chardonnay you recommend)! Like you, I love a beverage to transition from work mode to leisure mode, since I work from home
I've been trying to experiment more with mocktails, especially during the week and love all these suggestions. I'm a big sparkling water person but could get more adventurous with cutting them with a little juice. Thanks for sharing!
Hi! I did about 6 months totally dry and since then have been on a “0-4 drinks a month” plan (only outside of the home, only on weekends, only if it feels additive to something that’s already fun — not to try to make something not fun fun). For NA drinks I like: kombucha or chilled chamomile tea in a wine glass. The NA beers you said, plus Peroni 0. Fun juices cut a bit - guava juice w lime and sparkling water — love you apple cider vinegar idea and will try the tiniest splash!
Love your idea of only drinking when it's additive to the fun - I'm thinking a lot about when/if I'll resume drinking and this is an interesting way to think about it! Also love the tea in a wine glass concept 😻😻
I also REALLY craved mock tails a lot the first 6-ish months, but now I don’t think about them too much and the desire for them is much less. But I do like to crack an NA beer on Fridays often!
it feels festive to "have a drink" at certain times. I only order mocktails when everyone else is ordering real cocktail at dinner. otherwise, that's not something I really want!

It's amazing how many great n/a options there are these days - the world has really changed!
Love the personally-recommended dealcoholized wine suggestions, thank you!
If you try them, let me know what you think - so curious!
I've really been enjoying Ghia for non-alcoholic fun sips. The sodas are really good and so is the aperitif. I need to try the Berry version.

I didn't realize the wine glass helped drinks taste better! This is seriously important info!

I hope you like them. And my friend Mary Elizabeth just let me know that the Waterloo All Day Rose flavor is so realistic she feels a little tipsy! 😉

Oh yay! Interested to hear what you think. They're great for keeping the ritual as long as you don't expect the *full* wine taste!
Ok, I'm Gen X so TOTALLY needed that video of the Gen Z translator lol...Btw, I kinda love the 'vibe check' one as a way to say how are you!
I watched that video several times and sent it to my teenage kids!

Just in from Mary Elizabeth: the rose flavored sparkling water is better than the real thing! 😉
